What we learn

In this unit we name jungle animals and pets, say where things are (in, on, under), and learn the letters Bb, Ll, Uu, and Jj. (Parents: put a toy in, on, and under a box and ask your child where it is.)

Welcome to the jungle

Jungle animals: lion, tiger, elephant, monkey, giraffe, snake. Omar and his friend talk.

• It's a lion! I can see 2 lions!
• A tiger has 4 legs.
• Where is the monkey? The monkey is in the tree!
• I see an elephant and a giraffe too!
• There is a snake on the ground! We love the jungle! We circle the animals that belong in the jungle, and the animals that have 4 legs. A tiger has 4 legs.

My pets

Pets: cat, dog, turtle, bird.

• Where is the dog? The dog is on the couch.
• Where is the cat? The cat is under the chair.
• Where is the bird? The bird is in the cage.
• Where is the turtle? The turtle is under the table!
• I love pets!

The letters

• Bb: ball, banana.
• Ll: lamp, lemon, leaf, lunch.
• Uu: up, unlock, umbrella, under.
• Jj: jam, jacket, jellyfish, jeans. We trace and write each letter in uppercase and lowercase and circle pictures that start with it.

Review 2

In Review 2 we check the correct beginning letter of pictures, write the beginning letter, count the fruits and match them to the correct number, and match pictures to their beginning letters (Aa, Cc, Kk, Gg, Rr, Mm, Ee, Ff, Uu, Ll, Oo).
