باختصار

«Artificial Intelligence (with Review 1)» (الفصل 3) من منهج اللغة الإنجليزية للصف الثالث الإعدادي، الترم الأول. الملخص مقسّم لـ: Learning Objectives، Reading texts at a glance، Vocabulary List، Grammar Rules — Future Simple Passive، Language Skills & Functions.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the main idea and specific details of texts about Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • Recognise the meaning of new words from context and use AI vocabulary.
  • Use the future simple passive (will be + past participle) to describe future actions.
  • Express expectations about AI's impact on jobs, education and daily life.
  • Write about the benefits of AI and write an email about the future use of AI.
  • Review the language of Units 1–3 (present perfect, third conditional, future passive).

Reading texts at a glance

  • "Artificial Intelligence" (reading): Robots and AI are not the same. A robot is a machine that can move and do tasks; some are simple (a factory machine that puts bottles in a box) and some are advanced (robot dogs). AI is the "brain" that can go inside a robot: it lets the robot make decisions, learn from actions and change its behaviour (a robot vacuum cleaner with AI learns the shape of your room). Without AI a robot can only follow basic orders. AI robots help in hospitals (bringing medicine, helping in surgery) and in schools (languages, maths). Limits: they can't truly understand emotions, they need humans to help or program them, and smart robots are expensive. Not all AI is in robots, and not all robots are smart.
  • Listening (Adham and Lina): AI can create pictures, songs and even stories, but it is a tool, not a replacement. Another audio says one benefit of AI is that it reduces human errors and that it is used in many fields like medicine, transportation and education.
  • "A Robot Teacher": Sara finds a shiny robot teacher in class. It customizes lessons (extra grammar for Sara, fun maths games for Nader), checks homework instantly and gives feedback. But after a few days Sara misses her real teacher because the robot didn't smile or notice when students felt tired or sad. Lesson: technology can help, but it cannot replace the care and connection of a real teacher.
  • Story Time, "The School Garden Project" (Chapter Three: Problems and Determination): The team needs money for seeds, tools and soil, and Zeina shows initiative by asking the local community for donations, always honest about how the money would be used. It rains for two weeks and some plants die; Amal wants to quit, but Zeina shows determination: "We can't stop now." The team researches plants that suit their climate, protects them from rain and builds a better watering system; they feel proud because they solved the problems together.
  • Let's Talk (Eman and Ali): AI will be used in schools, hospitals and at home, and it will be controlled by humans to keep everyone safe. Conversation Tip: ask open-ended questions (how, why, what).

Use the future passive and target words: artificial intelligence, robots, care, check, programs, instant, surgeries, assist, creativity, humans, technology.
  • Speaking: Think-Pair-Share about whether AI will replace humans or control everything; role-play with future simple forms; focus on fluency (flow) and accuracy (correct grammar and vocabulary).
  • Review 1: words (determination = strong decision to achieve something; customized = made to suit a person's needs; misunderstood = not correctly interpreted); third conditional (If he had known his limits, he wouldn't have got injured); future passive (The message will be sent to everyone next week); the prefix dis- means "not" (disappointed); reading main idea: technology in education has both benefits and downsides.
