Unit 6: Mariam and Zaid plan a volunteering project to clean the park and plant flowers on Saturday morning, make posters, and show respect by working together. Hani respects all cultures, joined a tree-planting project and collects clothes for people in need. Review 2: New Alamein is a fourth-generation city on the North Coast with sandy beaches, luxury resorts, international restaurants, culture centers, residential areas, business centers and universities; planning a career starts with knowing your talents and interests, and reducing plastic protects oceans.

Language Tips

• Many glossary words appear in the units: use them in sentences with the grammar you learned (present simple, present continuous, past simple, first conditional, should, going to, must / mustn't).
• Learn each word with its part of speech: determined (adjective), determination (noun), decide (verb).
• Use word families and prefixes/suffixes: respect - respectful, responsible - irresponsible, achieve - achievement.

Common Mistakes

• Mixing up similar words: effort (trying hard) and achievement (success), or impact (effect) and influence (power to change).
• Using a noun instead of an adjective: "She is a determination girl" should be "a determined girl".
