2. Present Continuous - actions happening now: am / is / are + verb-ing. Negative: am not, isn't, aren't. Questions: Am I...? Is he...? Are they...? Signal words: now, at the moment, look!, listen!, right now. Example: Look! The students are studying for their final exam right now.
3. Past Simple - actions completed in the past. Regular verbs add -ed (play -> played, visit -> visited); irregular verbs change (go -> went, see -> saw, take -> took, buy -> bought, eat -> ate). Signal words: yesterday, last week/month/year, ago, in 2010, when I was young.
4. Comparatives and superlatives - comparative of two things: more + adjective + than (more expensive than) or adjective + -er (taller than). Superlative of one in a group: the most + adjective (the most expensive) or the + adjective + -est (the tallest, the fastest). Irregular: good -> better -> the best; bad -> worse -> the worst.
5. Can and should - can (ability): I can swim; He can't swim. Should (advice): You should study hard; You shouldn't stay up late. Both are followed by the base verb.
6. Adverbs of frequency - always (100%), usually (about 80%), often (about 60%), sometimes (about 30%), rarely (about 10%), never (0%). Position: before the main verb but after be (I always study hard; He is always late).

Language Skills & Functions
- Reading - Nader and Laila: Nader is a new student at Greenfield School whose biggest ambition is to become a software engineer so that he can create useful apps for doctors and teachers. Right now he is working on a difficult coding project with his classmate Laila; Nader writes the code and Laila checks it for mistakes. He believes that to succeed you cannot work alone, and that education is the key to a bright future. Every day after school he spends an hour studying mathematics, which he thinks is the most important subject for his goal. He says, "Success is a journey, and every small step you take brings you closer to your dream."
- Error correction: find the wrong word and correct it, e.g., "A patient is someone who works with computers" (wrong: a patient is someone who is sick); "winning the game is more important than showing respect" (wrong: the coach says respect matters); "ignore your homework" (wrong: do your homework); "She is more tall" -> "She is taller"; "The students is studying" -> "The students are studying".
- Writing: a paragraph of 6-8 sentences on "My Future Job and How I Will Succeed" (ambition, goal, technology, challenge) or "The Importance of Teamwork in Our Community" (volunteer, help, responsibility, respect).
