Audio Scripts (summary)

Unit 1: Gen Alpha's Digital Life. Dr. Wessam explains that Gen Alpha are children born from 2010 onwards; they are called digital natives because they grow up in a digital environment where smartphones, tablets, social media and even artificial intelligence are normal. They spend hours online, share memes, use emojis and make short videos. The main challenge is balance; parents try to limit screen time and encourage useful skills like coding. Unit 2: Staying Safe Online ("Web Guardians"). Hosts Adam and Nadia explain that a digital footprint is like a trail of breadcrumbs. Keep personal information private, think before you post, use a strong password (a secret code only you know), check privacy settings, and talk to a trusted adult if you feel uncomfortable.

Unit 3: Advice for Facing Challenges. Laila trained for six months for a long race; halfway through she tripped and her knee bled, but she said "No. I worked too hard to quit now" and finished. She said: "I didn't win the race or a medal, but I won against my fear."

Born in Damanhur in 1946, grew up in Alexandria, studied at Alexandria University, became a professor of chemistry at the California Institute of Technology; famous for the femtosecond; won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1999 as the first Egyptian and Arab scientist in this field; advised young people to work hard, read more and never give up.
